Dearborn Fire Chief Joseph Murray was sworn in recently as the president of the Southeastern Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs (SMAFC). The SMAFC represents all fire chiefs in the southeastern half of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Founded in 1928, SMAFC is a mission-driven organization, committed to supporting current and future fire chiefs and emergency service leaders throughout southeastern Michigan through vision, information, education, services and representation to enhance their professionalism and capabilities.
